The RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It’s the process of Christian initiation whereby adults and older children deepen their relationship with our loving God and become members of the Catholic Church. It’s a dynamic, flexible and engaging process that forms people in the Christian way of life. It’s really all about discipleship.

The process of forming disciples for the life of the world is different and unique for each person. All are welcome! Please call the parish office, 812.232.8421 or contact R.ita Burns Senseman at to find out more.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or RCIA, is a communal process for formal initiation of new members into the Catholic Church. This process is a return to the formation of the earliest members of the Church in the first and second centuries.
